Ghosts of Christmas Past

13th, 14th, 15th, & 16th December 2018 / Valletta Campus Theatre

Winters are cold here. A little village, nestled at the foot of a towering mountain. People scurry across the cobbled streets, anxious to find shelter from the biting wind, but never too preoccupied to say hello to their neighbours. And in a town like this – long before steam and steel brought the world a little closer together – everyone is your neighbour. It’s hard to keep a secret.

Day in, day out, for as long as anyone can remember, the seamstress has toiled in her humble abode. A master of her craft, renowned throughout the village for her tight stitches and even tighter lips. Not much else was known about the seamstress. She never was one for conversation.

The winter winds are ever-persistent however, and sooner or later they will uncover all secrets. Secrets kept out of shame. Or, perhaps, love.

Directed by Lucienne Camilleri ad produced by Stefania Grech Vella. In collaboration with Symphusion, directed by Stefan (Fofi) Farrugia. Conducted by Ryan Paul Abela.
